St. Petersburg, Fla, April 11, 2022 – The Queen’s Court, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has concluded its 2022 Queen of Hearts Ball and presented the proceeds to its two grant recipients. On April 6, 2022, Ball Co-Chairs Elise Minkoff and Chloe Firebaugh, along with Charity Liaison Donna Cothron, were thrilled to present checks for $31,500 each to our two charity partners: the Morean Art Center's Operation: Art of Valor and Ready for Life. Accepting on behalf of their organizations were Howayda Affan of the Morean Art Center and Kathy Mize of Ready for Life.
St. Petersburg, Fla, January 13, 2022 – The Queen’s Court, Inc. is pleased to announce that it is now accepting competitive grant applications from area non-profit organizations for its 2023 Queen of Hearts Ball. Applicants must have a 501(c)3 status and regularly file a 990 with the Internal Revenue Service. The organization’s headquarters must be located in Pinellas County and all business should be conducted within Pinellas.
Each year, The Queen’s Court, Inc. selects two deserving non-profit organizations to be the recipients of the funds raised by its annual Queen of Hearts Ball. Two non-profit organizations will be chosen in April 2022 and will share the proceeds of the Ball to be held in February 2023. Grant Applications are due on or before March 17, 2022, and can be found online at https://queenofheartsball.org/charitable-recipients.
The 2022 charity recipients of the Queen of Hearts Ball are The Morean Arts Center’s Operation: Art of Valor and Ready for Life. They will be honored at the 2022 Queen of Hearts Ball that is being held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art.
St. Petersburg, Fla, November 30, 2021 – The Queen’s Court, Inc. is pleased to announce the details of its 63rd annual Queen of Hearts Ball. The Queen of Hearts Ball will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art. Attire is black tie. The purpose of the Ball is to recognize volunteerism and advance non-profit charity organizations in our community.
The 2022 Royal Court will be presented at the Queen of Hearts Ball. The women being recognized are: Queen Candace “Candy” Scherer and Princesses Julie Cline, Aria Garling, Brenda Griffin, Marie Hartney, Elizabeth Hendricks, and Laura Liebel. These women were selected for their outstanding service and leadership to the greater Pinellas County community.
The 2022 charity recipients of the Queen of Hearts Ball are The Morean Arts Center’s Operation: Art of Valor and Ready for Life. Operation: Art of Valor serves veterans and active-duty military with traumatic brain injury and psychological health conditions through art-making opportunities that make a difference in their lives. The Ready for Life Skill Center provides a family environment where young people find basic needs like food and meal kits, personal and hygiene supplies, caring support, and have access to laundry and shower facilities.
The 2022 Ball is co-chaired by past Queens Chloe Firebaugh and Elise Minkoff. Tickets are $150 per person and sponsorships are available.
