St. Petersburg, Fla, April 16, 2024 - The Queen’s Court is pleased to announce that it has concluded its 2024 Queen of Hearts Ball and presented the proceeds to its two grant recipients. On April 15, 2024, Ball Co-Chairs Beth Timberlake and Nancy Westphal presented checks for $23,225 each to our two charity partners: Wheelchairs 4 Kids and Inspire Equine Assisted Center.
St. Petersburg, Fla, April 17, 2023 – The Queen’s Court, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has concluded its 2023 Queen of Hearts Ball and presented the proceeds to its two grant recipients. On April 12, 2023, Ball Co-Chairs Donna Cothron and Donna Mainguth, along with Charity Liaison Elise Minkoff, were thrilled to present checks for $46,750 each to our two charity partners: SPCA Tampa Bay and Suncoast Voices for Children. Accepting on behalf of their organizations were Martha Boden of SPCA Tampa Bay and Donna Gaffney of Suncoast Voices for Children.
St. Petersburg, Fla, January 4, 2023 – The Queen’s Court, Inc. is pleased to announce that it is now accepting competitive grant applications from area non-profit organizations for its 2024 Queen of Hearts Ball. Applicants must have a 501(c)3 status and regularly file a 990 with the Internal Revenue Service. The organization’s headquarters must be located in Pinellas County and all business should be conducted within Pinellas.
Each year, The Queen’s Court, Inc. selects two deserving non-profit organizations to be the recipients of the funds raised by its annual Queen of Hearts Ball. Two non-profit organizations will be chosen in April 2023 and will share the proceeds of the Ball to be held in February 2024. Grant Applications are due on or before March 12, 2023 and can be found online at https://queenofheartsball.org/charitable-recipients.
The 2023 charity recipients of the Queen of Hearts Ball are Suncoast Voices for Children and SPCA Tampa Bay. They will be honored at the 2023 Queen of Hearts Ball that is being held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at The Hilton Carillon Park Hotel.

The Queen of Hearts Ball will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Hilton St. Pete Carillon Hotel. Attire is black tie. The purpose of the Ball is to recognize volunteerism and advance non-profit charity organizations in our community.
The 2023 Royal Court will be presented at the Queen of Hearts Ball. The women being recognized are: Queen Rebecca Malowany and Princesses Sheila Barry-Oliver, Haviland Kebler, Kelly Lee McFrederick-Rice, Alvina Miller, Sarah Morrow, and Nancy Safford Westphal. These women were selected for their outstanding service and leadership to the greater Pinellas County community.
The 2023 charity recipients of the Queen of Hearts Ball are SPCA Tampa Bay and Suncoast Voices for Children.
SPCA of Tampa Bay transforms the lives of animals through passionate collaboration with the community. Their vision is to create a community where every animal matters.
Suncoast Voices for Children provides for the unmet physical, psychological, educational, and social needs of abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Their vision is to see every child in Pinellas & Pasco Counties enjoy a childhood free from fear and deprivation.
The 2023 Ball is co-chaired by Princesses Donna Cothron and Donna Mainguth. Tickets are $150 per person and sponsorships are available. St. Petersburg, Fla, September 6, 2022 – The Queen’s Court, Inc. is pleased to announce that it is now accepting nominations for outstanding female volunteers that live and volunteer in Pinellas County. The 2023 Queen and Princess nomination packets are available for download from our website.
Nominations must be made by guilds, auxiliaries, or non-profit organizations. Nominees must demonstrate a depth and breadth of volunteer and leadership service to a nonprofit or a series of nonprofits and they may not receive a salary or payment for their volunteer service. Additional requirements are addressed in the nominations packet.
Each year, The Queen’s Court, Inc. selects one woman as Queen and six women as Princesses to recognize their service and dedication to the community. Judging will occur in December and the 2023 Royal Court will be presented at the Queen of Hearts Ball, to be held on February 25, 2023. The 2022 charity recipients of the Queen of Hearts Ball are The Morean Arts Center’s Operation: Art of Valor and Ready for Life. Operation: Art of Valor serves veterans and active-duty military with traumatic brain injury and psychological health conditions through art-making opportunities that make a difference in their lives. The Ready for Life Skill Center provides a family environment where young people find basic needs like food and meal kits, personal and hygiene supplies, caring support, and have access to laundry and shower facilities.
